What hasn’t Maryland based, Classified Frequency done? They’ve released 3 EP’s and a handful of singles since 2009, been featured on numerous websites, blogs and publications like Alternative Press, Now Noise, Goldmine and The Deli DC where they were an “Honorable Mention” for Best Upcoming Band. They won a few Battle of the Bands and were nominated for 6 Wammie (Washington Area Music) Awards. Oh, and they’ve opened and toured with the Gin Blossoms, Cowboy Mouth, Everclear, Fastball, Vertical Horizon and many others.

Now they’re releasing a brand new Power Ballad called “Can’t Run Away,” which was produced by Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks, All Time Low) and Mixed by Jamie Woolford (The Stereo, The Story Changes, Gin Blossoms and Let Go).

“If you need an exact showcase of what the current state of power pop is like, you don’t have to go any further…” (Aural Grove)

Power Pop at its best!!
— Sharon Reed (DC Music Download)
CF’s sound is super-tight and reminiscent of great bands like Cheap Trick.
— Jeyon Falsini (Promotor)
Their tunes thunder along at 100mph, chunky guitars, strong hooks, great melodies and a vocal delivery to die for.
— Wayne Lundqvist Ford (Ice Cream Man Power Pop and More)
...the fact that Classified Frequency managed to shut the entire venue up and actually pay attention is something to be said.
— Stephanie Williams (DC Music Download)
