Quarantine Ep. 3 "You Burned Me"

It's our bassist, Matthew Everhart doing the one man band, stay at home challenge with "You Burned Me" by Donna Missal

"So what do you do when you’ve spent the last nearly 30 years attempting to create music with people and for people but now you’re not allowed? Many of my peers have taken to live online performance and the support you’ve all offered has been amazing!

In my case I’ve chosen to express music professionally on an instrument that (in my opinion) shines best when supporting others. As a bassist I get to support and control elements of performance regardless of who’s aware and I’m totally fucking fine with that. Also, I’m well aware of my shortcomings and typically I choose to keep most of that under wraps because of the massive amount of respect I have for colleagues that do certain things wildly better than I.

All that being said, I love to sing, play drums, and play guitar almost as much as I love playing bass so, I decided to put together something that I could share since I can’t make any music for all of you in the real world and in the spirit of social distancing, I didn’t rely on the massive talent of my colleagues but instead just put a ton of joy into attempting to do it all myself. All performances are unedited so, essentially, it’s live! The song is "You Burned Me" by one of my favorite new artists Donna Missal, check her out if you haven’t!!!

Are the vocals out of tune? Yep
Am I a less than impressive guitarist and drummer? Absolutely
But hey, there are like 5 simultaneous tracks of bass guitar at one point sooooo there’s that!

Anyway, love you all to bits!" - Everhart
